Eder Financial History

  • Founded in 1943 as the Church of the Brethren's Pension Board, Eder Financial has a long tradition of providing trusted service for Church of the Brethren members and agencies.
  • Growing from its humble beginnings as a denominational pension plan, Brethren Benefit Trust, also known as BBT, expanded its services over the decades to include Brethren Insurance Services, Brethren Foundation Inc., and Brethren Foundation Funds Inc.
  • In 2022, we became Eder Financial. With the new name came a bold commitment to serve a broader faith-based and non-profit community beyond the bounds of the Church of the Brethren. Eder Financial is proud to stand on its Brethren foundation as it continues to provide financial advocacy to all those we are privileged to serve.
