Long-Term Disability Insurance Protection for You

At Eder Financial, we understand the importance
of protecting your family from financial loss due
to an unexpected
long-term illness or injury.
We offer 
a
long-term disability insurance coverage plan
for employees who work 16 or more hours per week 
for
churches or a Christian faith-based organization,
Christian retirement community, or Christian camp.

Our long-term disability insurance plan is available during your initial eligibility period without underwriting.
You may also enroll during the annual open enrollment period.
 

If you work for a denominational agency or other employer, contact your human resources manager to find out if your employer offers our short-term disability insurance plan. 

Long-Term Disability Plan Features 

  • Pays 66-2/3% of your salary, up to $5,000 a month. Payments are reduced by Social Security or other group disability benefits. 

  • Payments begin after 90 days of continuous disability. 

  • Pays an additional benefit of up to $5,000 a month for a maximum of five years if you are disabled for five years and have the loss of two or more activities of daily living or cognitive impairment.  

  • Payments continue to age 65 if you are disabled prior to age 60. 

  • Payments continue for five years or until age 70, if you are disabled after age 60. 

  • A catastrophic disability benefit is included our long-term disability plan. 

  • Benefits will not be paid for a total disability caused by or resulting from a pre-existing condition unless you have been actively at work for one full day following the end of 12 consecutive months from the date you became fully insured. 

 

Short-Term Disability Insurance 

Protection for You

Should an unexpected illness or injury occur, Eder Financial has you covered with our short-term disability insurance plan. We offer a short-term disability insurance plan for employees who work 16 or more hours per week for churches or a Christian faith-based organization, Christian retirement community, or Christian camp. 

Eder Financial's short-term disability insurance plan covers most of the gap between the start of your illness or injury and the start of long-term disability coverage.

Our short-term disability insurance plan is available during your initial eligibility period without underwriting. You may also enroll during then annual open enrollment period.

Short-Term Disability Plan Features

  • Pays 60 percent of your weekly salary, up to $1,250 per week. 
  • Payments begin after 14-day waiting period. 
  • Maximum benefit of up to 11 weeks. 
  • Maternity benefits included. 
  • Benefits will not be paid for a total disability caused by or resulting
    from a pre-existing condition unless you have been actively at work
    for one full day following the end of 12 consecutive months from the
    date you became fully insured.
