Adminstrative How-to's

To add, remove, or update your administrators or authorized users’ contact information please send us an email including the name, phone number, organization name, address, email address, position title, and any other updates to clientservices@eder.org.

Payment Integration Manager, also referred to as PIM, is the online portal for adminstrators powered by NWPS, Eder’s retirement plan recordkeeper, where you will process payroll and manage retirement contributions. It’s the system we use to better ensure the data is accurate when compared with sending paper forms and emails. 

To get started, you will need to submit a PIM user setup and virtual training request. Upon submitting the request, NWPS will contact you within two business days. Once you’ve secured login credentials and completed training, you’re ready to use the platform.

You will use the PIM platform to: 

  • Enroll/terminate employees 
  • Update salary changes 
  • Set up/edit/terminate ACH contributions and payments 
  • View your church’s payment history 
  • Cancel recurring payments 
  • Change the bank account information

If an employee has annual salary updates…

Please be sure to update salary information in the PIM portal annually or whenever you provide pay increases to your employees. This will need to be done in the payments section AND the employee demographic section. The Remittance Worksheet (Link) can help you with these calculations, but you must enter them into the portal. Reach out to  erpemployerteam@nwpretirement.com for support.

If you have a new employee…

When you enroll a new employee and set up their contributions, the next step is to send them the Eder Retirement Plan welcome letter so they can access their account online via the member portal. The employee should email the Eder Member Service Center, powered by NWPS, at erpservicecenter@nwpretirement.com or call 866-723-0001 if they have questions. 

Organizational Investing and Planned Gift Management

If you are a new administer…

Whenever anyone on your authorization form is no longer a part of your board or leadership team, a new authorization form must be submitted. Examples are if you have a new church treasurer, a finance committee chair leaves, or you have a new office administrator who needs to be removed from having authorization to make changes to your Organizational Investing account.

Once your authorization form has been completed and signed by all parties, you should return the form to Eder via a secure manner. The “Help” section of our Organizational Investing portal, Eder Financial Portal Login is an appropriate secure manner, but you may also fax or send it via regular mail.

You will need to provide a supporting document that lists the name and title of the person signing at the bottom of the first page. Common examples of supporting documents include board meeting minutes, denominational directories, and corporate resolutions. If you have any questions email oi@eder.org .

If you want to update allocations, rebalances, or submit a transaction…

Submit all contributions, distribution, or transfers through the portal. Other asset management forms can be found at ederfinancial.org/Asset-Management-Forms. Please keep in mind that there are extended processing times for requests sent via mail, paper contribution/distribution/transfer forms, and for checks. The best and most secure way to submit transactions is through the transaction process in the portal and elect for an electronic funds transfer.

Allocation & Rebalance Forms and Authorization forms should be sent through the “Help” section of the Organizational Investing Portal.

Completing enrollment for Eder Health & Life Benefits requires participation from both the administrator and the employee. Below are instructions for you as administrator and details on what the employee will need to do.

Completed by The Administrator If you are a new administer…

Please provide your name, email address, phone number, and organization name to clientservices@eder.org as soon as possible. Please provide new billing contact information if that has changed.

If you have a new employee…

Step 1: Complete the Health & Life Preliminary Insurance Form and Health & Life EFT Form (if not already on file with Eder Health & Life Benefits department).

Step 2: Complete the Long-Term Disability (LTD) and/or Short-Term Disability (STD) forms, if applicable.

Step 3: To request a secure email send a request to clientservice@eder.org OR you can securely to fax 847-742-6336 OR mail to 1505 Dundee Ave., Elgin IL 60120-1619.

Step 4: Eder will provide instructions to the employee after completing these steps.

If an employee has LTD and/or STD benefits AND annual salary updates…

Complete and return the appropriate LTD and/or STD budget worksheet. Save the worksheet(s) for internal reference for monthly premiums.

If you have billing updates…

Administrators receive the organization’s monthly bill details via email. If you do not receive the monthly bill details, you may need to update the contact information we have on file for you by emailing the correct contact information to clientservices@eder.org.

Completed by the employee for Health & Life If you have a new employee…

After you have completed the administrator steps above for Health & Life Benefits, Eder will complete the registration steps. We will then notify the employees and instruct them on the next steps.

The employee will then need to create an account with our strategic partner health & life strategic partner, Milliman, at ederfinancial.mybenefitchoice.com to select their benefit choices, including LTD and STD. Only the employee can enroll in benefits with Milliman. Refer the employee to the Health and Life Employee How to Enroll Guide for step-by-step instructions.

  • Provide current and retired pastors and church staff experiencing financial hardship with financial assistance 
  • Provide grants for pastors and church staff to receive financial education 
  • Provide grants for pastors and spouses to receive “Flourishing in Ministry” coaching 
  • Provide grants for pastors, their spouses, and immediate family members residing at home to received well-being grants 
  • Provide current and retired pastors and church workers grants to help pay for insurance
  • Provide current and retired pastors and church workers grants to help pay for tax preparation 
  • Provide emergency grants for pastors and church employees who are in the midst of financial distress brought on by natural disasters

- To be considered for assistance, a grant application must be completed. If you need assistance or if you know of someone in need, start the application process by visiting ederfinancial.org/Church-Workers-Assistance-Plan. You may also call to request an application at 847-622-3361 or email your inquiry to CWGrants@eder.org .
