Eder Retirement Plan is uniquely positioned to provide eligible individuals, organizations, and congregations with valuable retirement benefits while considering the things they care about and providing the opportunity to have lifelong financial income. We accomplish this through:
- Faith-based Investing: The Plan selects investments that meet Eder’s values criteria, so you know your retirement money is invested in companies whose goals and interests align with yours.
- Flexibility: Eder Retirement Plan has multiple fund options to support your retirement goals and time horizons.
- A personal touch: When you call customer service, you will be routed to a real person and our staff is genuinely interested in helping you consider all the things you need to do to prepare for retirement.
- Online accessibility: We have an easy-to-use online member portal.
- Offering multiple distribution options: When you reach retirement, Eder gives you several options for drawing on your account. With the Periodic Payment Plan option, you manage how your funds are invested, and you can stop or modify a distribution at any time. The plan then distributes payments until the money in your account is depleted. Another option is the ability to purchase an annuity through Hueler Income Solutions®, where you can access well-known insurance companies to secure lifetime monthly income. Taking a lump-sum withdrawal that severs your relationship with Eder Financial, limits your ability to receive the tax benefits associated with the clergy housing allowance exclusion provided by Eder. Also, financial planners usually have a number of embedded fees that make transfers more expensive than working through Eder. The final option is the ability to combine any of the three options above to create the distribution plan that works best for you and your family.
As a one-stop shop, Eder Retirement Plan is one part of several products and services Eder Financial offers including health insurance, organizational investing and deferred gifts opportunities. For more information to help you prepare for retirement, review our Retirement Readiness Resources.
